Pam's campaign kick off is a splendid success.

Speakers gave inspiring and thoughtful perspectives on Port issues and how Pam can be an agent for change.

Thursday, May 23, 2019 Pam Petranek had her District 1 Port Campaign Kick-off at the Pope Marine Building.

Pam’s message is extremely supportive of the Marine Trade Association’s concerns as she was once a moorage tenant herself and is currently employed in the marine trades.

The imminent replacement of the Executive Director and with the other two commission seats coming up in the near future, the entire Port administration will change. This is our chance to directly influence leadership change for the better.

The Kick-off event was a great success and the buzz about Pam's campaign continues. Contributions have been spent on printing, logo design, room reservations, and campaign buttons.

The following speakers each gave inspiring and thoughtful perspectives on Port issues and how Pam can be an agent for change.

Greetings and Welcome (Liz) campaign manager

Michelle Sandoval, Port Townsend City Council member: - Power of partnerships, Port/City

David King Former Mayor of Port Townsend: - Port purpose/history, what we've built as a County/Community

Chris Sanok, President of the Port Townsend Marine Trades Association: - Threats to the Port, What's at Risk

Carol Hasse owner of Port Townsend Sails: - Vision for our Future, Maritime Culture/Economy

Pam Petranek was the last to speak with - Who I am, Why I'm running, and What my priorities are.

About 70 people attended the Kick Off. There is a strong support for a community asset like the Port to thrive! When the speakers had finished, the attendees were signing up to volunteer to help Pam's campaign and contribute funds.
