"The mission of the Port of Port Townsend is to serve the citizens of Jefferson County by responsibly maintaining and developing property & facilities to promote sustainable economic growth, to provide community access to Port facilities & services, & to protect & maintain our community resources and maritime heritage."
Our port's critical work and mission continues with these priorities:
Building and repairing core public infrastructure
Expanding practical & meaningful working skills, ie marine trades & farming
Supporting efforts in local food production
Financial accountability and sound business practices, being a good business partner
Environmental stewardship of land, sea, & air
Adjusting future expectations to fit within the confines of our unique geography, culture, & community
